League Leaders on Negative Goal Difference

I've always known that Scottish Division 1 was one of the most obscure in the entire UK. I recall going to the last game of the season one year and Sky Sports New graphics of all the leagues in rolling succession marked out the already promoted and relegated teams in almost all leagues in the land, bar one. You guessed it, there was a helicopter on standby with the trophy that day and it didn't know where it was going until both the important games had a final whistle.

Well today at Firhill another of those eccentricities played out. Partick Thistle beat Greenock Morton 5-0. So what you say, look at the league table after today's results.

I fully expect some clever Raith Rovers fan to come up with some variation on "You're Top of the League and score no" for next matches in a fortnights time.

As for next time any of the top seven teams could be top of the table, or could have done if Hamilton weren't playing Morton.

Meanwhile people are a little upset that Forfar didn't mange two more goals elsewhere. It was East Fife 4 Forfar 3.

Does such a person exist?! Do you mean the Member for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath?
